My wife’s grandfather is quite old. He can hardly walk and has a private nurse attending to his every need. One of his daughters was able to find an ekg machines at Every kind of monitoring device was bought for him. With the nurse and all the equipment, her grandfather’s health can now be attended to. The family’s patriarch is given full attention in the twilight of his years.

A friend owns a small resort. It’s open all year round. The resort has several pools for all ages. Senior citizens get to enjoy them too. Al his pools have raypak pool heaters that relaxes the old and those whose tired bodies needs rejuvenation. Even the kids enjoy during the winter months. You can simply sit there and relax in the warm water. It really takes the stress off a very busy working day or week.

We usually throw away lemon peels unless we need the zest for desserts. I just recently found out that the peel can be used to season foods.  When sprinkled on your food or drink, it tastes so much better.  Here’s the article I got from my email.

Many professionals in restaurants and eateries are using or consuming the entire lemon and nothing is wasted. How can you use the whole lemon without waste?  Simple.. place the lemon in the freezer section of your refrigerator.  Once the lemon is frozen, get your grater and shred the whole  lemon (no need to peel it) and sprinkle it on top of your foods.  Sprinkle it into your whisky, wine, vegetable salad, ice cream, soup, noodles, spaghetti sauce, rice, sushi, fish  dishes.   All of the foods will unexpectedly have a wonderful taste,  something that you may have never tasted before.   Most likely, you only think of lemon juice and vitamin C.   Not anymore.  Now that you’ve learned this lemon secret, you can use lemon  even in instant cup noodles.  What’s the major advantage of using the whole lemon other than  preventing waste and adding new taste to your dishes?  Well, you see lemon peels contain as much as 5 to 10 times  more vitamins than the lemon juice itself.  And yes, that’s what you’ve been wasting.   But from now on, by following this simple procedure of  freezing the whole lemon, then grating it on to the top of  your dishes, you can consume all of those nutrients and get
even healthier.  It’s also good that lemon peels are health rejuvenators in eradicating toxic elements in the body.  So place your lemon in your freezer and then grate it onto your meal every day.   It is a key to make foods tastier and you get to live  healthier and longer, too!   That’s the lemon secret!  Better late than NEVER!

1. Hot Dogs. Because they are high in nitrates, the Cancer Prevention Coalition advises that children eat no more than 12 hot dogs a month. If you can’t live without hot dogs, buy those made without sodium nitrate.

2. Processed meats and Bacon. Also high in the same sodium nitrates found in hot dogs, bacon, and other processed meats raise the risk of heart disease. The saturated fat in bacon also contributes to cancer.

3. Doughnuts. Doughnuts are cancer-causing double trouble. First, they are made with white flour, sugar, and hydrogenated oils, then fried at high temperatures. Doughnuts may be the worst food you can possibly eat to raise your risk of cancer.

4. French fries. Like doughnuts, French fries are made with hydrogenated oils and then fried at high temperatures. They also contain cancer- causing acrylamides which occur during the frying process. They should be called cancer fries, not French fries.

5. ALL CHIPS & COOKIES. All are usually made with white flour and sugar. Even the ones whose labels claim to be free of trans-fats generally contain small amounts of trans-fats.

It’s been a couple of weeks and I’ve been under the weather. With tons of work to do, I feel worse. My lack of sleep could be the culprit. Even if I take my vitamins, I don’t feel any better. Oh well, a two-week break is coming and I’ll try to make the most of it. I’ll catch up on much needed sleep.

My friend is suffering from diabetes. He already lost an eye to the debilitating disease. He has already filed for disability insurance. With two young sons, he needs all the help he can get. His condition depresses him sometimes, we try to help him deal with it the best we could. I know how he feels and can relate to him. I myself is suffering from glaucoma. I have tunnel vision and lacks depth perception.
