Our lives can be extremely hectic, filled to the brim with our daily tasks and everything else that comes along with them. We can get so caught up in our schedules that the days seem to run together leaving us frazzled and stressed out. Taking time out to reconnect within is a practice that can help us to slow down, relax and take a personal inventory of our lives to make sure that we are headed in the right direction.

Before Things Get Out of Hand
Much of life’s success is built on the concept that an ounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure. This well-known quote is true of many wide and varied situations. This is why it’s always wise to create checkpoints in our lives where we slow down and reflect inwardly. This helps us to rest both mentally and spiritually and refocus if we need to. This important step is often the difference between walking around exhausted and stressed out or remaining calm and centered.

Learning to Pace Ourselves
Rome wasn’t built in a day and the baby’s nursery won’t be either. We all have a long list of things we want to accomplish however trying to get everything done in a short period of time is unrealistic and stressful. Learning to pace yourself by breaking big tasks down into small manageable tasks is the best approach. Bite-sized tasks help you chip away at your goal little by little until you’ve reached it.
Making Changes Along the Way
As we take these much-needed breaks in our busy lives we have time to make changes as we see fit. If we notice that Monday’s are extremely difficult for us because of the different commitments we’ve made on this day we can shuffle our schedule to create more balance or let go of a few commitments that may not be as important as we thought they were. If we promised our son that we’d take him to get autographed NFL jerseys but see that time is short and there will be another opportunity to do this later in the week, we should reschedule.

One familiar quote states that life is short. This is true but it’s also quite long when you think of all the seconds, minutes, and hours that must be filled on a daily basis. Learn to take your time and slow down. This will help you to take the necessary measures to make sure that you are on the right path.

Medical instruments must be protected because they help surgeons and doctors resolve minor and major health issues that affect patients. If any surgical tools at your facility are accidentally damaged, you can fix them by working with a company that specializes in medical instrument repair. Corrosion, however, is a bigger problem since it affects many instruments that are often used in medical environment. In order to prevent corrosion, you may want to invest in surgical equipment that’s passivated.

The Passivation Process

When the technicians at medical instrument manufacturing companies make tools that are passivated, they remove all iron compounds from the steel materials. During this process, a special chemical treatment is applied on the instruments. Then, an acidic substance will be used to prevent contamination around the passive coating. The protective layer that’s used on stainless steel instruments isn‘t thick.

Why Passivation is Beneficial

If a medical instrument lacks a passive layer, the metal surfaces will corrode slowly over time. When a surgical tool has a protective coating, the mental surfaces will last longer because rust won’t generate as quickly.

Passivation Procedures

Before any procedures are implemented, every instrument is washed thoroughly. If some items are covered with polishes, traditional substances, or mineral oils, the coatings will be removed. These preparation procedures are vital because harsh elements won’t be removed during the passivation process.

Once the instruments are prepped, they’re tossed in baskets, which rest on various tanks. Copper sulphate, nitric acid, and water are found in each of the tanks. These substances help workers conduct tests in order to determine whether are not a medical instrument can resist corrosion. During the testing process, lab technicians always consider the temperature, time, and concentration.

Buying Considerations

If possible, try to buy medical instruments that have been passivated twice. When tools are treated before and after laser procedures are implemented, the protective coating is much stronger.

Overall, by investing in surgical tools that have a passive coating, you won’t have to worry about severe corrosion. Whenever your instruments are bent or chipped, a reputable medical technician can repair them.

When the temperature creeps up to 90°F the body is forced to shuttle blood away from internal organs and to the skin for cooling purposes. This hinders the body’s ability to digest food and results in nausea. To calm your tummy, press the point located one hand-width below the kneecap, above the outer edge of the shin bone.
