A close family friend just opened her own spa. We all all know that this business is such a big hit not just for women but for men as well. She has several personal water-jet pools for the patrons. Of course with every use, these pools have to be cleaned to maintain the proper hygienic standard. She uses heavy duty spa filters to keep the pools working properly. she has also hired several cleaners to make sure the every pool is clean. She has chosen a good location and her clientele continues to increase. I hope this new endeavor will be a great success.

Last Sunday, my father collapsed during church service. He had no pulse and was classified as DoA (Dead on Arrival). He was revived in the Emergency Room but went into a coma. And for the next two days, he stayed in the ICU. Doctors feared that he would end up an invalid should he regain consciousness. He was practically dead for more than ten minutes. He had seizures and had to be tied to his bed.

Last Tuesday, he suddenly woke up and started talking as if nothing happened. He was released last night. The only problem is that he’s suffering from amnesia. He can only recall the event of the two weeks prior to his collapse. For awhile we thought we would lose him. He underwent a quintuple heart bypass 14 years ago and we were told back then that he’s lucky if he’ll last for 15 years.

I’m glad he recovered quickly. But i’ve expected the realities of life. We all will have to go sometime.

My Dad’s in a coma after his heart suddenly stopped beating early Sunday morning. My kids haven’t stopped crying especially my son who has colds and cannot even see his grandfather up close. All he can do is peek through the glass door of the ICU. Sad would be an understatement as I feel miserable seeing my son suffer the pain of not being able to hold my father’s hand.

North Carolina has some of the best scenic spots you can ever see and experience. Last summer, my cousins took my Mom there for a few days. She had a great time with them and couldn’t stop talking about the place especially the house they stayed in. There is an abundance of Outer Banks rentals that you can check out and they stayed in one of them. Mom described it as a home away from home because it was so cozy and spacious. She looks forward to visiting the place again.

My wife received a late present from her aunt in New York. She got a couple of pairs of  shoes designed by Stuart Weitzman. She’s her aunt’s favorite niece and never forgets to send her gifts on special occasions. On her last birthday, she sent Liz a bag with a matching wallet. One of her new shoes is so elegant and great to wear on our Valentine’s date.  The other is a pair of sandals that she could use everyday. I wonder what her aunt would send her next?

My cousin’s family on their way for their holiday. The Caribbean has always been close her heart because that’s where she met her husband. This time they’ll be going to St. Lucia. After checking out some st lucia hotels online, she has chosen one that would fit her budget. They’re offering great deals now and she was able to get a considerable discount on their vacation. I’m sure they will have a grand time and tons of happy memories to bring back.

My nephew is set to take the Graduate Management Admission test. It’s his path to a brighter future. With competition getting tougher, GMAC certified would definitely improve his chances in the corporate world. He took a GMAT prep and has been reviewing full time. He’s intelligent, industrious and focused. I’m sure he’ll be a great success. When he sets his sights on something, expect him to do well. He’s always been like that since he was young. I’m sure he’ll pass with flying colors.

I used to handle the marketing of an upscale restaurant chain. We would have promos and give away items to our valued and loyal clients. One our customers’ favorite items are our promotional pens. I’d always go for pens because of its design and functionality. Aside from pens, we also give watches, tote bags planners stamped with each outlets specific logo. Not only do our clients leave with satisfied tummies, they leave with something to remember. We’ve managed to keep and increase our happy and satisfied clientele.

The title speaks for itself. How I wish world leaders would take a step back and look at what their country needs and not how they can control other countries.

If you think you don’t need to be covered, think again. It is a good and sound investment. I already have several but I felt I still need another one. I still have a young boy you know. So I decided to get another life insurance policy from my friend. If you have some savings, I advice that you invest in this. Aside from having something for your family, they wouldn’t have to worry about anything. I realized this when my Dad had a stroke. Being covered is one, family security is another.
